Who is Travel with Evora?
Hi, I’m Nicole Evora – or just Nicole for most people. I’m 34 years old and originally from Munich, Germany. My online presence has always been under the name Evora, so I decided to keep it for my channel.
What did I do before?
Back in 2011, I joined the Bundeswehr (the German Army) and served for 13 years as a mechanic for hydraulic systems in military trucks and tanks. My unit was mainly stationed in Germany, but I actively requested a deployment abroad. In 2020/2021, I got my chance and spent 6.5 months in Mali, Africa, as a Chief of Maintenance.
That experience changed my life. Seeing new cultures and exploring the world firsthand made me realize how much I wanted more of it.

The start of my travels
My passion for traveling started in 2022 while I was still working. Every vacation day was an opportunity to see more of the world. My first solo trip took me to Greece, where I rented a small car and drove along the coast and through the mountains – fun fact, on arrival in Athens at the end of March I was surprised by 2°C and snow!
Later that year, I went on a trip to Corsica and Sardinia with a group of experienced motorcyclists. It was the first time I had ridden a longer distance since an accident in 2012 and I was suitably nervous – but the trip was fantastic.
In September, I joined the same group for a week to Lake Garda, but I wasn’t ready to stop there yet, so I extended my trip and did my first solo motorcycle tour to Corsica.
It was then that I realized that my KTM 790 Duke was not ideal for touring – so I “accidentally” bought a BMW R1250GS (the test ride was not a good idea). At that time I had never ridden off-road – if I had known where the journey would take me, it would probably have been a lighter bike.

Juggling School and Life
While planning my travels, I also had a lot on my plate academically.
In 2017, alongside my military career, I started my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, which I completed in 2022.
In October 2022, I began my Master’s in Engineering and Business Administration, a part-time program I ambitiously planned to finish in three semesters instead of five.
Halfway through, I discovered a Double Degree Program in France. The idea of living and studying abroad was too good to pass up, so I applied and was accepted 🥹
That meant saving every available vacation day and working a lot of overtime to leave my job earlier.
In August 2023, I moved to France for eight months, rented out my apartment in Germany, and took only my motorcycle and the essentials with me.
This unexpected chapter turned out to be the perfect starting point for my next adventure.
Where It All Came Together
Because the academic schedule in France was different, the semester in Germany had already started by the time I finished my program in April 2024.
Instead of jumping into a half semester, I made a spontaneous decision: I used the time to ride my motorcycle.
That summer became my first long solo motorcycle adventure across Western Europe and Morocco and the moment I started my YouTube channel.
With no real experience in filming, drone flying, or video editing, I simply jumped in and learned everything along the way.
What began as a temporary break quickly turned into something much bigger.

Where I Am Now?
In May 2025, after completing my master’s degree and closing my life in Germany,
I set off on my motorcycle to begin my long-term world journey.
Since then, I’ve been traveling across continents, exploring new cultures, remote roads, and the unexpected realities of life on the road, documenting the journey along the way.
If you’re curious where I currently am, you can check the Route here on the website or visit my Instagram, where I regularly share the latest updates in my stories.
This journey is still unfolding and the road ahead is long, unpredictable, and full of surprises.
